Discover the Botanic Garden at Georgia Southern University

A hidden gem in Statesboro, this garden offers stunning blooms and peaceful strolls year-round.

One sunny day, while Jeff was negotiating the purchase of his new boat (a real beauty, by the way) over in Statsbobro, Ga., we decided to explore the town. It’s a delightful little place, packed with quirky shops and tempting eateries. But, as fate would have it, the true treasure of the day was the Botanic Garden at Georgia Southern University.

Nestled quietly away from the hustle, this garden is a serene escape filled with vibrant blooms, shady paths, and a sprinkle of history. At the garden, you can stroll through a camellia garden or pause to admire a replica of the original farmhouse that once stood on this land. Whether hunting for a picturesque wedding venue or just a peaceful spot to breathe in nature, this garden is a must-visit.
